Current concepts in the fields of radiation biology and radiation protection relevant to medical imaging, and a number of helpful appendices complete this comprehensive textbook. Special attention is paid to optimizing patient dose in each of these modalities. Of course, Bushberg focuses more on diagnostic radiology, while Attix focuses on radiation dosimetry, but Bushberg's clear, concise and well-written text has proven invaluable.
